A Letter from the Directors

A Letter from JoAnn Brewer & Melissa Ramey

~Owners & Directors of Camp Victoria~

“Stepping back in time to shape the young ladies of tomarrow”

At Camp Victoria your daughters will experience a camp that is out of the ordinary. Our campers are transported back in time to relive what life was like, to be a young lady in the Civil War era of the mid 1800’s.

The 19th century was filled with prim and proper,

ball room dances, elegant dress, gentility, rules & regulations and of course Tea Time! Not every young lady was privileged to experience all the niceties of the day. Some had a hard life, but since we have control of what our young lady campers will experience –only the best will do!

They will be adorned in Victorian style dresses, crinolines, bonnets, etc. so they can truly immerse themselves in the experience. Our campers will partake in what every young lady of fine breeding learned, such as: sewing, baking, crafting, the fine art of correspondence, manners & etiquette, hosting an afternoon tea, parlor games, period dance and music….to name a few.

Our program is specifically designed for ages 8 to 15. Our staff members are throughly versed in the fine arts of daily living. Through these experiences and instructions your daughter will be better equipped to handle the everyday tasks that all women need to know. This program will give her a head start.

Respectfully yours,

JoAnn Brewer and Melissa Ramey
